Today we visited a cashew processing plant. The picture attached is of our beautiful tour attire. I am also attaching a photo of the inside of the plant. Visiting the plant was quite interesting because the plant employees mostly women. Since it is not cashew season here in Kerala, the cashews are shipped in from Ghana, Africa. The women work 8-5 and earn less than 5 American dollars per day. Think of that the next time you snack on a cashew...
