It is Saturday, so schools are mostly closed today. I am attaching a picture of inside one of the classrooms I've seen. The students here have minimal materials and the classrooms have bare walls. The kids have outdated textbooks and I visited a geography class with no maps. It makes me grateful for the materials we have access to in our American classrooms! I will say though, that the students are VERY well behaved. The teacher can leave the room and the kids will sit quietly in their seats for an entire period. How often would that happen in the US?
